Common App has partnered with colleges and universities to connect high-achieving seniors with admission opportunities. This means we have reserved guaranteed spots for students across a few of our member schools and will be sending admissions letters directly to students, before they have even applied. Students are eligible for this opportunity based on the information entered into their Common App account, specifically their home state and self reported GPA information.  </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">I got an email stating that I got Direct Admission to a university, is this real?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Yes! Common App has come together with a few universities to provide Direct Admission to select students. This is a real program that has been created in partnership with universities in Maryland, Virginia, and Tennessee. </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">How did I get selected for the Direct Admission Program?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Each university participating in this program worked with Common App to set a minimum GPA required for admission to their school. Students who were in-state for each university and met the university’s academic requirement were eligible for this program. Students were then selected at random for the available Direct Admission spots. </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">My Direct Admission email is from a Common App email, does the school know about this?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Yes, this program was built in partnership with select universities in Maryland, Virginia, and Tennessee. All schools are aware that these Direct Admission emails have been sent, and they are eager to hear from you. Both Common App and the universities started this program to help eliminate barriers and uncertainty around the college application process. </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">How do I accept the offer of admission?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">You need to submit your Common App to the university that gave you admission to accept your offer. This will not require any financial commitment. Submitting your Common App reserves your place at the university, but does not require you to enroll. That decision is up to you and can be made later. Step by step instructions on how to complete your Common App can be found </span></span></span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><a href="https://appsupport.commonapp.org/applicantsupport/s/article/How-do-I-ac…; target="_blank"><span style="color: #1155cc;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">here</span></span></a></span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">. You can also find the instructions in your admission email. Please contact </span></span><span style="color: #1155cc;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">admissions-info@commonapp.org</span></span><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;"> with any questions. </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Will it cost me any money to accept the offer of admission?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">No, you should not have to pay an application fee in order to submit your application. By submitting your application and ‘accepting this opportunity’, you are not financially committing to anything. The decision to ultimately enroll is still up to you and can be made after you learn about your financial aid options. </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Do I need to submit an essay?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">No, you do not need to submit an essay as part of this program. </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Do I need to submit a recommendation letter?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">No, you do not need to submit a letter of recommendation as part of this program.  </span></span></span></span><br><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">Do I need to submit my test scores?</span></span></span></b></span><br><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">No, test scores are not required.
